Privacy Policy

Vital (mwfitapp.com) is a personal health tracker operated by Mike Watson. Access is by invitation only. This page explains what data the app handles, where it lives, and how you can remove it.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and a password (stored as a hash by our authentication provider).
• Health data you log: supplements, medications, workouts and exercises, meals and nutrition macros, body metrics (weight, sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, steps), energy and mood entries, and notes.
• Data you sync: if you use the Apple Health shortcut, the metrics you choose to sync (HRV, heart rate, weight, steps) are sent to your account using a private sync token.
• Profile settings: body stats, calorie goals, and timezone.

We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or location data.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database and protected by row-level security, meaning your account can only read and write its own rows. The app is hosted on Vercel. Data is encrypted in transit.

AI features

Some features use Anthropic's Claude API to process your data when you actively use them: the AI chat sends your recent logs and profile targets to generate insights, the workout import sends the screenshot you choose, and the label scanner sends the photo you take. This data is used only to produce the result you asked for. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Third-party services

• Supabase: database, authentication, and account email delivery.
• Vercel: application hosting.
• Anthropic: AI processing when you use AI features.
• Open Food Facts: barcode lookups send only the barcode number, never your personal data.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept until you delete it. You can delete individual entries at any time inside the app, export a full JSON backup from the History tab, and permanently delete your entire account and all of its data from Profile, under Danger Zone. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. You can also request deletion by email.
